The best time to paraglide in Marrakech
There is no single best month: each season gives a different flight. Here is what to expect, and how to choose your time of day.

Updated
The short answer
For mild temperatures, autumn and spring are the most comfortable. Winter adds snow on the High Atlas behind you. In summer, pick a sunrise or sunset flight to avoid the heat. Whatever the month, the wind has the final say on the day.
Season by season
Autumn
September – November
Hot in early September, then warm, clear days that settle into pleasant late-autumn sunshine. Comfortable at any time of day.
Winter
December – February
Mild, sunny days in Marrakech and cold mornings. Snow often caps the High Atlas peaks behind you. Dress warmly for sunrise.
Spring
March – May
Green valleys below the wing, snow lingering on the highest peaks early in the season, and days that warm up towards summer.
Summer
June – August
Hot: Marrakech often passes 35 °C in July and August. Fly at sunrise or sunset, when the air is cooler and calmer.
Sunrise, day or sunset?
Every pack costs the same at any time of day, so choose the light you like best.
Sunrise
Cool, usually calm air and soft light over the foothills. The best choice in summer. Early start.
During the day
The easiest to fit around your plans, and comfortable from autumn to spring.
Sunset
Golden light on the Atlas and the plain: a beautiful time for photos together.
Planning tips
- Book a few days ahead, especially in holiday periods: we take a limited number of passengers each day. Bookings open from tomorrow onwards.
- Fly early in your trip. If the weather says no, there is still time to move your flight.
- We check the forecast the evening before and confirm in the morning. If we cannot fly, you pay nothing.
- It is cooler at takeoff than in the city: bring a light jacket and wear closed shoes.
